Bernard de Coen was born in Leuven, Belgium, May 19th of 1965. He studied latin and sciences at school and romance philology
(French & Spanish language and literature) at the Catholic University of Louvain. After serving his country for a year and a pilgrimage to Compostela, he has been teaching French and Spanish for a couple
of years, then became an interpreter and translator as a civil servant.
He has large interests in human sciences: philosophy, religion, arts, astronomy, aesthetics, ethics, linguistics and
literature.
He enjoys playing tennis, jogging and taking a sauna.
